Partnerships

Ibn ‘Ashur Centre welcomes organisations working in the Quranic space to reach out for cooperation, including our specialist consultancy services in the fields of Tafsir and Quranic Studies.

Our teams are qualified to translate and edit both classical and contemporary texts in this field, and we support content providers to ensure that Quranic teachings are presented accurately.

Below are some of our strongest partnerships and the projects we are developing in cooperation.

Core Partnerships

Quran.Foundation

We are proud to be a key content provider for Quran.com which serves millions of visitors each month, along with numerous mobile apps which depend on its translations, commentaries and tools. Through this partnership, we are able to distribute content through a popular and dynamic digital platform, as well as ensuring that users worldwide are assured of the authenticity of the information about the Quran. We also provide support for the growing social platform QuranReflect.com.

Bayyinah Institute

Led by Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan, Bayyinah has enriched the lives of many thousands of people worldwide through teaching the Arabic language and sharing the Quran’s message and miracles. Ibn ‘Ashur Centre provides academic support, runs research projects with shared aims, and develops Ustadh Nouman’s lectures into authoritative books of Quran translation and commentary. The first volume on Surat Yusuf is planned for release in 2023: find updates at bayyinah-translation.com.

Tafsir Centre for Quranic Studies

Markaz Tafsir in Riyadh is leading the way in Arabic-language scholarship on the Quran, and we are proud to play a role in bringing that scholarship into conversation with Anglophone academics. Ibn ‘Ashur Centre also acts a conduit for authenticated content shared and translated between sites like Quran.com and mobile apps such as Surah (by Tafsir Center). Major projects in the pipeline include the English translation of the 36-volume Encyclopaedia of Quranic Themes, and a bilingual peer-reviewed journal.

Tafsir Al Mishbah

Publishers

Ibn ‘Ashur Centre teams up with publishers and research centres in different parts of the world to edit and/or translate texts in the fields of Tafsir and Quranic Sciences. This includes a major new edition of Fakhr al-Din al-Razi’s exegesis Mafatih al-Ghayb (with Dar-Allobab, Istanbul), a full translation of Ibn Juzayy’s al-Tashil li-‘Ulum al-Tanzil (with Turath Publishing, UK) and translation of the Indonesian Tafsir al-Mishbah by Muhammad Quraish Shihab (Pusat Studi Al-Quran).
